Frequently Asked Questions

Do you charge per hour? And how much?

My pricing per event is actually based on a few different variables:

*Duration

*Expected attendance

*Size and location of venue

*Type of event

Because of this, I price every event individually, in order to suit the needs of my clients. Different events require different amounts of equipment, and because of this I won't charge the same price for a house party as I will for a wedding.

What is included in your price? Do you charge extra for lights?

All of my pricing includes driving fees, setup/takedown, my DJ services for a set amount of time, a professional sound system, and stage effects and lighting. Some DJ's charge extra for lighting and have different lighting packages. I personally love the look of an exciting dancefloor full of lights, fog, and lasers and I always set up as many lights as possible in the space given to me. Lights, lasers, and fog (venue permitting) are always included in my pricing.

Do you have liability insurance?

I do carry a $1,000,000 liability insurance policy. Proof of insurance can be provided if requested. Most venues now require it. Never deal with a DJ without one!

Do you require a contract?

I do require a signed contract along with a $100 deposit in order to save the date for your event. The purpose of my contract is to ensure understanding between myself and my clients and to also have specific information such as pricing, date, location, and duration in writing.

Do you take requests?

I pride myself on being prepared and having the right music for the right crowd. I believe myself to be pretty good at reading a crowd, but I always love interacting with guests and taking requests as well. I may not know the crowds 'one special song', but requests always help! I do take request lists before the event, and I also do take requests in person while I am DJing.

Can we drop in on one of your events to see you in action?

Approximately 90% of the events I DJ at are private events. I do respect the privacy of my clients, in the same way that I would not invite people you do not know to your event, I do not invite people unknown to my clients to their events. I do have video compilations of past events that I often show clients in place of the real thing.
